After The Tea Parties - What's Next

I've been asking myself that question...what's next...ever since April 15th, when hundreds of thousands of us around the country, voiced our concern for America and all that is going on with government trying to get bigger and bigger with more and more control over individuals and businesses.

I have heard more tea parties are planned, particularly on July 4th, and that's fine, but more must be done. Others are working on that as well. In an e-mail from American Solutions today, www.AmericanSolutions.com/TeaParty, several questions were asked:

  1. Why did you attend a tea party
  2. What did you learn from this experience
  3. What do you think should be done next

I feel like I'm trying to process so much all at once. So many things are happening so rapidly and its so easy to talk, complain, grumble, worry and argue...but the real question is what will we do?

What can we do that will be effective and cause the real change many hoped for. I'll be thinking about this and hope you will too. Let me know your ideas on this!

Welcome To TEA Strength

On April 15th I attended a TEA Party in Crystal Lake, IL. What an interesting hour that was. Went with my friend Joanne, her daughter Judy, Judy's daughter, Nellie and baby George (Judy's grandson) which means there were four generations in our group.

There were about 500 people at the TEA Party. We stood for one hour on the corner of 14 and Main in Crystal Lake - a very busy corner. Nearly all cars who drove by honked their horns in solidarity with the messages written on the signs being held by the people.

I loved the one baby George held -- "I've read as much of the stimulus bill as the congressmen". Other signs talked about everything from too much spending to gun control issues and everything in between. Most of them were communicating the same message -- the government is spinning out of control and getting too big and involved in everything!
